Launched in 2004 and based in New York & Tel Aviv, Artis is an independent non-profit that supports and promotes the Israeli contemporary art community throughout the world. By providing a curatorial voice on the most engaging visual art from Israel, Artis functions as a vital resource, authority and platform for arts professionals and the general public. Their main activities consist of Public Programs; a Grant Program; Professional Development; Curatorial Research Trips to Israel; and www.artiscontemporary.org, with a selection of artist profiles, articles, exhibition listings, videos, and news.
